鈥淣ukhba is a critical member of the Johns Hopkins International Injury Research Unit team and we鈥檙e thrilled to see her earn this deserved recognition,鈥 said PhD '11, MHS, '08, assistant professor, Health Systems, and JH-IIRU deputy director. 鈥淓arly on as part of a trip to a field site in Uganda, she demonstrated her ability to step right in and even take the lead on a number of critical tasks and projects. Both our research team and the students she assists are grateful to have her.鈥
Nukhba is interested in injury and trauma research with special focus on disability. She hopes to follow in the footsteps of her faculty mentors, Dr. Adnan Hyder and Dr. Bachani, and continue her work in disability research with a focus on vulnerable populations after graduation.
