The Associate Director of Admissions and Operations at Berkeley Law administers J.D. application processing and a wide range of related activities for the law school, all designed to assist with the recruitment of the strongest and most diverse class possible. Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Operations, the Associate Director of Admissions for Operations assists in reviewing 6,000 – 7,000 J.D. applications annually, and manages a variety of correspondence throughout the application cycle in support of the J.D.

The Associate Director of Graduate Student Affairs has responsibility for creating and executing the graduate student experience from orientation to graduation for our LL.M. and JSD students in the Office of Graduate Degree Programs (“OGP”). The Associate Director of Graduate Student Affairs reports to the Director of Graduate Student Affairs and the JSD program.

Responsible for providing support to students from matriculation through admission to the bar examination, with the primary goal of enhancing the learning and study skills of students; primarily responsible for all bar multiple choice initiatives and programs.

1. INDIVIDUAL ACADEMIC COUNSELING:

(a) Provide intensive individual academic counseling to assigned students and advise them on various academic issues. For those students on probation, advise students on the petitioning process to obtain an additional semester of discretionary probation.
