Johns Hopkins-Pulitzer Global Health Reporting Fellowship
Congratulations to So Hyun Park, the new Johns Hopkins-Pulitzer Global Health Reporting Fellow!
So Hyun Park is a Master of Science in Public Health candidate at the Johns ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½, specializing in women’s sexual and reproductive health. Her work focuses on migration, gender-based violence, and human rights in humanitarian settings. She collaborates closely with a survivor-led organization advocating for the rights of North Korean women. As a Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellow, she will document the hidden migration journeys of North Korean women who flee to China, investigating issues of human trafficking, forced marriage, and forced repatriation.

The Johns Hopkins-Pulitzer Global Health Reporting Fellowship is a unique opportunity for Bloomberg School students to do in-depth reporting on a global health issue of their choice and gain a clearer understanding of the media’s role in shaping the global health conversation.
The $5,000 fellowship supports training with journalists from the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting in Washington, D.C., and covers the cost of in-country reporting, travel, and living expenses. The Center provides technical and editorial support through the planning, reporting and writing/production phases of the fellowship.
The Global Health Reporting Fellowship supports projects that focus on public health issues of global importance that have been underreported or neglected by mainstream media in the U.S.
