The Harry D. Kruse Fellowship in Nutrition

Harry D. Kruse, MD, ScD, collaborated with E.V. McCollum in the latter’s renowned vitamin research, and served with distinction for many years as a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. This fellowship, established in 1987 by the Kruse family, supports a continuing doctoral candidate in nutrition who has displayed outstanding achievement and promise.

Eligibility
U.S. and international PhD students in Human Nutrition doing their thesis work in the mediterranean, northern Africa, Europe, Asia (excluding China or Russia), or in indigenous communities in North America. This is not a competitive award.

Application Procedure
Students should submit a letter of intent describing their planned doctoral research topic to nutrition and public health, application form, CV or resume, a current JHSPH transcript, and letter of recommendation from a faculty member.
