The Marilyn Bergner Award in Health Services Research
Dr. Bergner, a faculty member in the Department of Health Policy and Management from 1986 to 1992, was a leader in health services research. She developed the Sickness Impact Profile, a patient questionnaire that measures the level of every day functioning during the course of illness. This award, established by her husband, Dr. Lawrence Bergner, her colleagues, friends, and students, supports PhD students in the health services research and policy concentration in the Department of Health Policy and Management.
Eligibility
Continuing PhD students in the Health Services Research and Policy concentration in the Department of Health Policy and Management in good academic standing, who have passed or will have passed the school-wide preliminary oral exam by March 16, 2018 and are working in the area of outcome measures and quality, are strongly encouraged to apply. Previous Bergner award recipients are not eligible.
