Overview
My work focuses on enhancing the screening, diagnosis, and management of type 2 diabetes using epidemiologic data. Over the past several years, I have led projects (1) assessing national trends in diabetes prevalence and control; (2) evaluating the impact of changes to major diabetes guidelines; (3) characterizing the burden of complications of diabetes; and (4) exploring the clinical utility of novel biomarkers. My most recent work focuses on evaluating the use of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) for the management of type 2 diabetes and conducting research in the epidemiology of type 1 diabetes.
