Conan Dickson is an Associate Practice Professor at the Johns ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ in the Department of Health Policy and Management. Dr. Dickson serves as the Associate Director of the Master in Health Administration Program; Co-Director of the MPH Leadership & Management Concentration; and as the Director of the Health Finance and Management Certificate. His academic interests are health care management, strategy, health finance, and data analysis / quantitative tools. Outside of Hopkins, he currently serves as the Maryland Regent for the American College of Healthcare Executives; on the Board of Directors of The Healthcare Council; on the Board Finance Committee for AUPHA; and on the Education and Editorial Advisory Board for the Society for Health Strategy and Market Development.
Prior to joining the faculty full-time in March 2020, Dr. Dickson spent twenty-five years working at Johns Hopkins Medicine in a variety of leadership roles including Sr. Director of Business Development & Strategy; Chief of Staff at Sibley Memorial Hospital; Administrator for Operations Support at the Johns Hopkins Health System; Administrator for Medical Affairs at The Johns Hopkins Hospital; Sr. Researcher at the Johns Hopkins Center for Innovation in Quality Patient Care (now Armstrong Institute); and Assistant Administrator of the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center. He also served as the program director of the JHM Administrative Fellowship for fifteen years.
