Implementation
The National Extreme Risk Protection Order Resource Center (ERC) is a project of the Center for Gun Violence Solutions in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). The ERC is the national training & technical assistance provider for ERPO implementers in the 21 states plus DC and the U.S. Virgin Islands that have extreme risk laws. Specifically, the ERC develops and disseminates trainings for stakeholders, including law enforcement, judicial officers, health care providers, domestic violence advocates, and social service providers, among others, supporting states and local jurisdictions as they overcome implementation barriers and adopt effective ERPO implementation policies and procedures.
