Richardson Professor in Health Policy at the Johns ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½, discusses the career path he's taken to become a recognized authority in the study of racial and health disparities in the U.S. LaVeist, who also directs the , says his career has been fueled by what he calls a sense of mission “to understand the question of why do we have inequalities in health outcomes and what can we do about it." LaVeist’s research aims to pull back the curtain on the causes, challenges and solutions to health disparities.
