The Bloomberg School recently announced that it is accepting applications for its , an online course offered through the , the and the .
The course is designed for current and future public health professionals who want to develop skills in the area of public health informatics, which can be described as the intersection of information science, computer science and health care. Graduates of the course will receive a Maryland State-approved Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Public Health Informatics.
This program is available completely online and covers topics such as biomedical and population health informatics, health information systems design and development, health information technology standards and systems interoperability, and systems evaluation.
The application deadline is March 15, 2012 and the course will begin in August.
