Bloomberg School Professors among Most Cited Researchers from 1999?2009 (web article)

Johns Hopkins University researchers have published 54,022 scientific papers over the last decade, which were cited a total of 1,222,166 times—the third highest number of citations, according to a report from ScienceWatch. Bloomberg School of Public Health professors and were among the most cited Johns Hopkins faculty, the report said.

Rafael Irizarry, PhD, a professor in the Bloomberg School’s Department of Biostatistics, has been cited for describing a mathematical methodology that improves the output of highly used gene chip technology. Keerti Shah, MD, DrPH, professor in the , has been most cited for his work in identifying the link between human papillomaviruses (HPV) and cervical cancer.

Other Johns Hopkins researchers highlighted in the report include Stephen Baylin, John Herman, Bert Vogelstein, Valina Dawson, David Ginty, Frederick Nucifora, and Charles Bennett.
